Sainsbury's are the latest large corporation to realise the benefits of adopting a Shared Service Centre approach for it's HR administration activities.
As reported in the August edition of People Management magazine, Sainsbury's are moving it's HR functions out of individual stores and into a HRSSC to be located in Manchester.
'The centre will increase efficiency, simplify processes and eliminate duplication', said Imelda Walsh, Sainsbury HR director.
The intention is to free up store managers to focus more time and resource on customer service, leadership and training.
