30th Jan, 2009 to 30th Mar, 2009
Transact HR Director Ian Madeley has recently been notified that he has been accepted as a Chartered member of the Institute of Personnel and Development (IPD).
Ian studied for and passed the IPD examinations some years ago when it was still called the IPM, whilst working for a major retail business, and has been working in a variety of HR related roles ever since.
The recognition from the IPD comes after continuing to demonstrate professional development and the ability to 'add value' to HR, mainly through his work at Transact HR in measuring and improving HR transactional processes.
Ian said 'I am very pleased to have received this recognition, and it demonstrates the value in what we at Transact HR do, and how the work is regarded at the highest levels in the profession'.
He went on to comment - 'It is increasingly relevant during downturns in the economy such as we are experiencing now, to really examine your processes and decide whether things can be done differently and more efficiently, at less cost. This should be a fundamental business task, which HR could champion in their own area of the business and act as facilitators to the wider organisation'.
